FAQs

Q: What is Rinjin Art Market?
A: We are a small but mighty group of Seattle artists that host affordable and curated art market events in the local area! We aim to host markets quarterly to give opportunities to more and more vendors of all experience levels to showcase their art and products, while helping to build a friendly community for artists, makers, and supporters to enjoy and create meaningful connections!
Q: What does "Rinjin" mean?
"Rinjin" is the Japanese word for "neighbor"! This is also why our market mascots are called Rinjin Neighbors!
Q: How do I apply to become a vendor at your events?
A: Once an event is announced, we will release vendor applications on our Instagram page, as well as on our Discord server. We accept applications via Google Forms, and subsequently review them as our events are juried and curated to ensure vendors have a higher chance of success.
Q: Is AI art accepted?
A: No. Supporting AI "art" is supporting art theft. We look through every application as thoroughly as possible to make sure that none of the applicants to our market feature AI images.
Q: Can I be part of the team?
A: We are currently not looking for more team members, but we appreciate your interest in helping us! However, for some of our events, we require additional assistance to run and maintain the market event. In these cases, we welcome you to fill out a volunteer form, when they're available! We appreciate any help with setting up, passing flyers/advertisements, helping artists as assistants, etc!
Q: I'm interested in sponsoring or inviting "Rinjin Art Market" to my business for an event. Who should I talk to?
A: We're happy you would love to host or sponsor us for a market! Please send us an email at [email protected], or head to the Contact Us button in the banner above and send us a message through your preferred form of contact!
Q: Do you take donations?
A: Yes! We use these funds to help us with fees, such as: advertisements, rentals, space rental, city/state fees, and more! With the help of these funds, we can keep building this group to hold more market events! Please head to the Donate button in the banner above to see how you can donate!
Any other questions that we haven't answered here?
Please feel free to reach out to us via email at [email protected], or by using any of the methods in the Contact Us button in the banner above and we will answer your question to the best of our ability, as soon as we can!
